A MAN has been charged in connection with the theft of poppy tins from Stratford and Henley.
Warwickshire Police announced today (Friday) they have charged 31-year-old Tyrone McDermott with the thefts of three poppy boxes in November.
We reported back in December how Poppy Appeal collection boxes were taken from Henley High Street.
McDermott, of Ward End, Birmingham, has also been charged with taking another from a shop on Waterside, in Stratford, along with others in the West Midlands area.
In all McDermott was charged with five offences of theft by Warwickshire Police after work by officers from the Alcester North Safer Neighbourhood Team.
He is due to appear at Solihull Magistrates Court on Wednesday (February 8) regarding the offences.
