FOLLOWING on from her Gold medal winning performance in the Midlands Championships under 20 long jump, Imogen Green, headed back to the NIA for the English Indoor Championships.
Three solid jumps enabled the Warwickshire College student and Birchfield Harrier to progress into the final.
With an excellent under pressure performance, she smashed her personal best by 22 cms to clear 5 metres 69 cm.
This resulted in a much deserved second place on the podium and a well deserved silver medal, while the performance meant she moved up to 4th on the UK rankings.
Returning to the NIA on Sunday, Green performed creditably in a very strong field in the 60m hurdles.
She rose to the challenge and recorded yet another personal best of 9.09 seconds but narrowly missed out on a place in the final.
The constantly improving Green is heading south to represent Birmingham Falcons in the McCain City Challenge this weekend when she will be competing in the Tri event of shot, long jump and 60m hurdles.
