STRATFORD Squash Club have been successful in recruiting an exciting new coach in Guy Pearson.
The new coach attended the club on Friday night to met some of the junior and seniors members.
Pearson demonstrated his coaching skills with several groups of juniors whilst seniors put his match play to the test.
The new coach also brought along world ranked professional player Chris Fuller who challenged any member to take just one point off him.
Several members took turns to play Chris but none were able to win that elusive point.
The evening ended with an exhibition match between Pearson and Fuller which left all those watching in awe.
Squash Club chairman Dave Petty said: "What a fantastic evening! The standard of squash was out of this world, the best ever played at the club. It has inspired many members, particularly the juniors."
Pearson is due to start his coaching duties on Saturday mornings with the juniors but will be available for group and individual coaching throughout the week.
Pearson has already planned a Racketball beginners course on Tuesday evenings starting on February 21.
Anyone interested in trying a great sport, which will also keep you fit, should contact Dave Petty on 01789 551082 or email david.petty4@ntlworld.com for more details or to book a place. Numbers will be limited so early booking is advisable.
