MORE and more pupils from schools in the district are learning all about history at the town's Falstaff Experience.
John and Janet Ford said the number of school visits to the historic Sheep Street building has rocketed from just two or three a month to four a week since they took over the museum in 2008 and revamped it - placing more emphasis on its Tudor roots.
Visits now have the added feature of a tour led by the museum's very own Shakespeare as part of the educational package.
Janet said: "I have always had a passion for Tudor history and I knew the narrative of the museum had to be more closely fitting to the Stratford brand.
"Shakespeare was a Tudor, the Tudors are on the school curriculum and our museum is located in a genuine Tudor building.
"We believe we now not only compliment the Stratford brand by providing an in-depth look at Tudor society but also add to it by being the only attraction in town to provide guests and school groups with opportunity to meet William Shakespeare himself.
"Winning the Chiltern Railways Attraction of the Year Award was fantastic, but nothing beats the feeling of seeing the faces on the school children who have clearly been inspired by their day with us."
