ALISON MCMILLAN shot her first career possible which helped Avenue-RBL lift the 4-a-Side Trophy at Wilmcote.
Home Guard B earned their place in the opening semi final after knocking out Wilmcote RCH 129–128 and they faced MEB A who defeated Binton B 124–121.
Home Guard were shooting below par in the last four and they went down 123-119 to MEB who had the advantage of seven points.
Another quartet from the Home Guard, who made the most of a 12 point advantage to knock out Binton A 130-120, lined-up in the last four against Avenue-RBL who had knocked out a second team from MEB 124-121.
McMillan shot her first possible, while Steve Ray just missed out with 34 and Paul Nixon-Barron ended with four bulls for 31.
Guy Ganderton shot a par 28 which gave Avenue-RBL a clear 128-119 victory and a place in the final.
The final proved a lacklustre affair as both sides had some loose shots which scored threes.
MEB A’s Sheila Clarke, Kath Williams and Paul Workman shot at or below their averages but Jan Beattie did better by scoring 30 and with three advantage points they totalled 118.
Avenue-RBL also had a couple of loose shots with all but Alison McMillan, who shot 31, shooting at their average which ensured they triumphed 119-118 to collect the silverware.
The final round of Webley Shield matches take place last night (Thursday) when Clifford topping the board, met Binton B, Home Guard faced MEB and Wilmcote played Binton A.
