WORKS by Henry Moore, one of Britain's most influential artists of the 20th century, can be seen at Leamington Art Gallery.
In the Arts Council Collection, running until April 15, explores the celebrated and pioneering modern artist - a key figure for the Arts Council Collection. He was an important advisor to the acquisitions committee during the early 1950s, shaping the sculpture collection by advocating the acquisition of a significant group of post-war British sculpture by artists including Kenneth Armitage, Lynn Chadwick and Barbara Hepworth.
The exhibition brings together the Collection’s complete holdings of 11 sculptures and 15 works on paper, spanning some 50 years.
Seen together, for the first time in their entirety the works provide a succinct history of Moore’s practice between 1929 and 1962, with key creative developments and themes visible in both two and three dimensions.
Alongside the exhibition there will be a continuous screening of the historic film Art is the expression of imagination and not the imitation of life. This documentary about Moore was produced by John Read and first broadcast on television in 1951.
Arts Council Collection sculpture co-ordinator Laura Robinson will give an introduction to the Henry Moore exhibition on February 24, at 1pm. The event is free and there is no need to book.

* BRINK, the ‘not for profit’ arts organisation based in Kenilworth, have teamed up with the town's Talisman Theatre to stage an exhibition of work by London-based nature and landscape photographer David Anthony Hall.
It can be seen until April 30, in the foyer at the Barrow Road theatre, and will feature a small selection of large-scale photographic works by the internationally renowned artist who has previously exhibited as far afield as New York and Singapore.
