Six injured in smash near Wellesbourne

SIX people were taken to hospital after a crash near Wellesbourne.

West Midlands Ambulance service was called to reports of a two car crash on Fosse Way, in Moreton Morrell, at around 5.30pm on Wednesday (April 25).

Three ambulances, a rapid response vehicle, two paramedic officers and two Midlands Air Ambulances were dispatched to the scene.

A woman in her 20s who was driving one of the car's was airlifted to hospital with arm injuries and suspected pelvic and internal injuries

The second car was carrying five people at the time of the incident - a man, a woman and three children.

All five were treated for minor injuries at the scene before being taken to Warwick Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
