A YOUNG Stratford man indulged in his foot fetish by touching and licking his sleeping sister’s feet and recording himself performing sex acts while doing so.
The 19-year-old, who cannot be named to protect the identity of his sister - who was ten or 11 at the time - was arrested after someone found the memory card from his phone and handed it in to the police who traced him.
And at Warwick Crown Court he pleaded guilty to six charges of sexual assault his sister - who the court heard is still unaware of what he did while she was asleep.
The defendant also admitted four charges of making indecent videos.
He had no previous convictions, and was given a community sentence with supervision for two years and ordered to register as a sex offender for five years.
Prosecutor Theresa Thorp said that in November last year the memory card from the teenager’s phone was found in a night club and handed to the police.
On it officers found four recordings of him touching and licking his sleeping sister’s feet, kissing and licking her feet while performing a sex act on himself, and touching her feet with his private parts.
One of the incidents took place while the girl, who was aged ten or 11, was sleeping in his bedroom, and the others happened when he went into her bedroom while she was asleep.
When he was arrested and interviewed the defendant admitted his activity towards his sister and recording what he was doing, explaining that he had a foot fetish.
He stressed he had no sexual interest in children and that his acts had been prompted by the availability of his sister’s feet when he saw them as she was sleeping, and he had begun by simply touching them, but then progressed from that.
Jamie Strong, defending insisted age had not been the driving force and that he had not intended to cause harm.
Sentencing the man, Judge Richard Griffith-Jones told him it was a 'most unusual case'.
He said: "You are someone with intelligence and potential. You have a foot fetish, and I am not prepared to say that is some sort of illness or bizarre condition; there is nothing unlawful about it.
"What you really need is guidance and help to shape the way you approach life, to ensure that if you have any particular sexual desires they can be channelled in a way which is consensual and do not harm anyone.”
"It is most important the victim in this case was always unaware of what you were doing.
"To this day she does not know what happened, and it seems to me it would be in her interest that she does not know for a very long time until she is old enough."
