Woman killed in Stockton car crash

A WOMAN has died following a car crash in the district on Monday evening (November 5).

The accident involving two cars happened on the A426 at Stockton at around 7pm.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find two vehicles had been involved in a road traffic collision.

“Sadly, it quickly became apparent to crews that nothing could be done to save the woman and she was confirmed dead at the scene.

“A man, believed to be in his forties and the driver of the second vehicle, was treated at the scene for minor injuries and taken to Warwick Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”

Two ambulances and a paramedic officer attended the scene.
