TO eat or not to eat is the only question the winner of a Shakespeare-themed birthday cake being raffled by Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.
The cake was made by Ally Colledge, who runs Rugby-based Mrs Crumbs the Baker, to celebrate the first anniversary of the air ambulance's fund-raising shop in Stratford.
Shakespeare himself sits on top of the four-tier fruit cake, overseeing many of his most famous characters including Romeo & Juliet, Hamlet, and the Witches from Macbeth.
It took about two weeks to make, and the charity shop has been selling raffle tickets all week.
The only problem the winner is going to have is whether to cut into it as it looks so good, but The Observer has been assured it tastes every bit as good as it looks.
Mum-of-two Ally said: "I love Shakespeare so this really was a labour of love."
Ally, who has been baking from an early age, specialises in custom-made celebration cakes. For further details visit Facebook and search Mrs Crumb the Baker.
