Woman killed after being hit by car near Kineton

A WOMAN has died after being hit by a car while walking near Kineton on Saturday evening (January 5).

The woman was declared dead at the scene after being in collision with a silver Skoda Octavia, which was travelling towards Banbury on the B4100 around 10.30pm.

A second car, a red Ford Ka, was travelling in the opposite direction but was not directly involved in the incident.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision and anyone with information should contact PC Geoff Bell on 01926 414415.

The name of the woman who died will not be released until her family have been informed.
