Soldier dies at army base in Kineton

IT HAS been revealed a soldier based at the army explosives training base in Kineton was killed on New Year's Day.

Philip Charles Westerberg, 27, died as a result of his injuries on January 1 in an accommodation block at the Defence Munitions (DM) base in Kineton, near Southam.

No further details have been released but an inquest into the death will be held at the Justice Centre in Leamington from 3pm on on Friday (February 15).
