DOZENS of KES students are Oxbridge bound.

King Edward VI School in Stratford is delighted to announce 26 offers for either Oxford or Cambridge University in this year’s application process.

Cambridge has offered places to Zack Ashley-Timms, Amelia Burton, Edward Rose and Anagh Arora.

Oxford has offered places to Rory Armstrong-Ortiz, Asyl Ashraf, Benjamin Bull, Matthew Campbell, Job Estill, Kirsty Fernie, Joseph Foley, Dylan Haynes, Lucas Kirk, Greg Madden, Alex Marosan, James Messett, Teertha Nitin, Nothando Nyawanza, Ariana Pethard, Daniel Reynolds, Sebastian Steven, Ewan Stewart, Jenny Tian, Tomas Wilcock, Lily Yang and Nina Yuan.

Headmaster Bennet Carr said: “Applying to Oxford and Cambridge is one of the most competitive academic challenges for any sixth former and this very strong showing is great credit to the students themselves and those many colleagues who have encouraged and inspired them.

“I am equally proud of those who took up the challenge but missed out and, indeed, of all our upper sixth who are working hard to gain places at other sought-after universities and on competitive apprenticeship programmes.”
