Kaiser Chiefs to play Warwick Castle

Stratford Editorial 23rd Apr, 2015 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

THE KAISER Chiefs will be rocking it up at Warwick Castle this summer.

The indie popsters, fronted by Ricky Wilson who is also a mentor on BBC’s The Voice, will play the castle on Friday July 10 as part of Sounds in the Grounds.

The group – whose hits include I Predict a Riot and Ruby – will be joined on the night by chart-topping rapper Professor Green, whose third album Growing up in Public went top five.

And the line-up is completed by rising star singer Ella Eyre, who enjoyed a huge hit with Gravity, and also co-wrote the Paloma Faith/Sigma chart-topper Changing.

And the following evening The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra will take to the stage for a Proms-style show

with classical favourites, including Hornpipe, Rule Britannia!, Pomp and Circumstance March No.1 (Land of Hope and Glory) and Nimrod, with plenty of flag waving, and followed by a firework display.

Continuing The Voice connection from the previous evening, Dubliner Lucy O’Byrne will be joining the orchestra following her performance on the The Voice which won her so many fans under the mentorship of will.i.am.
