Stratford Editorial 4th Jul, 2014 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

THE LIMEHOUSE Lizzy boys are back in Stratford town.

The Thin Lizzy tribute play No.1 Shakespeare Street on Thursday July 17.

Guitarist Greg Alcock said:

Limehouse Lizzy continue to keep the spirit of late Celtic rock icon Philip Lynott and his band of Irish rockers alive, performing classics like The Boys are Back in Town, Sarah, and Whisky in the Jar.

The band also includes a tribute to the late Gary Moore, who played with Thin Lizzy in the 1970s, and went on to become a world renowned solo guitarist before his death in 2011.

The four piece exceptional tribute band came together in 1993 after lead singer Wayne Ellis and guitarist Greg Alcock met whilst working in a record shop near Limehouse, East London.
