No work and all play for children in Stratford

IT WILL be no work and all play for children in Stratford.

Stratford District Council are hosting a free ‘National Play Day’ event on Wednesday August 2 at the Recreation Ground from 10am to 3pm.

Among the activities are a climbing wall, circus skills, and a puppet show.

Community spokesman Coun Mike Brain said: “I love this annual event and look forward to visiting again this year and seeing so many families enjoy themselves for free. Anyone who’s been before knows what a super event this is, especially with families looking to keep children occupied over the summer holidays. Let’s hope the sun shines!”

National Play Day which is celebrating its 30th Birthday, highlights children’s right to play and its importance in children’s lives.
