THE SPRING season brings a host of well-known faces to Warwick Arts Centre.

Among those looking to raise a laugh will be comedians Sarah Millican, Stewart Lee, Ed Byrne, Tom Stade and Stephen K Amos, Bridget Christie and Katharine Ryan, among others.

Music-wise, the centre welcomes the tempered ballads and fizzing electronic pop of singer-songwriter John Grant, the cinematic melancholic sound of Tindersticks; and acoustic-electronica from trio GoGo Penguin.

While contemporary music and traditional Japanese arts collide in Kodo’s One Earth Tour, featuring taiko drumming, and dancing.




The highlight on the theatre stage is an adaptation of Lord of the Flies by the award-winning Regent’s Park Theatre – William Golding’s classic tale of stranded schoolboys and survival.

Forced Entertainment return to the centre with their latest show, The Notebook, and Sarah Woods presents an uplifting vision of the future, as told by the people of Coventry, in The Roadless Trip.


Motionhouse return with the full octane Broken, the internationally-acclaimed dance show that premiered at Warwick Arts Centre in 2013, while Luca Silvestrini’s Protein present a piece of dance and music theatre in May Contain Food, a show that comes with its own tasting menu.

There is entertainment for the whole family in Opus 7, a playful circus show from a company of musicians and daredevil acrobats, while balletLORENT present a new adaptation of Snow White from poet Carol Ann Duffy and Doctor Who composer Murray Gold.

The classical concert series continues with a piano recital from the renowned Mitsuko Uchida, and the powerful combination of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and celebrated conductor Pinchas Zukerman.

The Mead Gallery has commissioned a brand new film from Irish artist Gerard Byrne for their new free exhibition of his work, 1/125 of a Second, which explores the mediums of photography and film.

Tom Dale Company and Moko Dance present Digitopia, a mix of dance and technology for families which also started life as a Warwick Arts Centre commission.

The season also features a continuation of the venue’s new series of Masterclasses, including specialist workshops on writing, stage fighting, floristry and photography, as well as the return of the Met Opera and NT Live digital screenings, including Madama Butterfly and As You Like It.
