Actress to explore effect of cross gender roles in Shakespeare

CROSS-gender Shakespeare expert and actress Lisa Wolpe is holding a talk.

The free event takes place tomorrow (Wednesday), from 5pm to 6pm, at The Shakespeare Centre in Henley Street.

Lisa – a former artistic director of the LA Women’s Shakespeare Festival – is currently a writer in residence with the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and the University of Warwick.

The expert will explore the effect of women playing male roles on stage and what it brings to the performance.
