MAYOR Victoria Alcock enjoyed all the fun of the fair this week.
Stratford Mop – which can trace its origins back to the 14th century – rolled-up in the town centre on Wednesday and Thursday.
It featured the usual mix of modern and traditional rides, which included the return for a third year of the historic 127 year-old Golden Carousel.
And the traditional Pig Roast Auction saw Coun Alcock cut the first slice before selling it off to highest bidder for charity – Heart of England Mencap.
Those who may have missed the Mop have a second chance to enjoy all the fun of the fair when the ‘runaway mop’ sets up next Thursday and Friday (October 19 and 20).
