Appeal for information after distraction burglary in Wellesbourne

POLICE are appealing for information after a distraction burglary took place in Wellesbourne.

A man and woman stopped at a home on School Lane on Saturday September 24 and asked to use to the bathroom.

While the man used the bathroom the woman continued talking to the victim.

When the pair left the victim realised money and jewellery had gone missing.




The burglary took place between 1.30pm and 4.30pm.

The man is described as white, in his late teens to early twenties. He is believed to be of a slim build and is very tall.


The woman is described as white and is believed to be younger than the man she was with. She is believed to be about 5ft 3ins tall and either had short hair or wore it tied back.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or ring 0800 555 111 to speak to Crimestoppers anonymously.
