Appeal for witnesses to Clifford Chambers crash

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a crash which saw a motorcyclist airflifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A red Honda motorbike and a green Vauxhall Astra were involved in a collision in Clifford Chambers on Thursday (March 24).

It happened around 2pm near to Freshfields Nursery on the B4632.

A group of trauma doctors out on a bike ride were immediately on hand to help. Ambulance crews and  the Midlands Air Ambulance were also quickly on the scene.




A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The injured motorcyclist, a man in his late teens, was being treated by the cyclists, who happened to be trauma doctors.

“He had numerous limb fractures which were splinted at the scene. He was also given pain relief and immobilised with the use of a spinal board and neck collar. “He was then flown to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.”


The road was closed for a time while investigations were carried out.
