FAMILIES had their cake and ate it too at a charity bake sale.
The Easter event at Bentley care home aimed to raise money for the Stratford Uniform Bank which helps families struggling with the cost of school uniform.
The £225 total was split between the organisation and the nursing home.
Uniform bank founder Kirsty Powell said: “All of us at the uniform bank are so grateful of the support from Stratford Bentley care home and all the community who came along. It was great meeting and chatting with the lovely staff and residents and we couldn’t have felt more welcomed by them all. Their fund-raising will make such a difference to local families in need.”
