A BIKER had to be airlifted to hospital following a crash in Tanworth.
The motorcyclist was riding along Broad Lane around 6.45pm on Thursday (September 3) when he came off his bike and was sent skidding across the road.
A paramedic in a rapid response vehicle, a paramedic area support officer in a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance crew and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The man, who is in his fifties, had a head injury and chest injury.
“He was sedated at the scene, his condition stabilised and he was given pain relief and an anti-haemorrhage drug.
“He was then immobilised using a stretcher and headblocks and was flown to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.”
