A BLOOD donor has been honoured for helping save some 300 lives.
Jean Bull, from Kinwarton near Alcester, was recognised by NHS Blood and Transplant for 40 years of donating blood. During that time she has made over 100 donations – an amount which can potentially save the lives of 300 people.
The 74 year-old said “Giving blood is very important; one never knows when you might need the service yourself.”
Karen Healy, Senior Marketing Coordinator at NHS Blood and Transplant, said: “Jean has potentially saved hundreds of lives and improved the lives of countless others who have required blood transfusions. These donors are an inspiration to us all.”
