BOOKWORMS at Shipston Primary School have welcomed a donation towards the new school library.
Developer Cala Homes provided a £500 boost to fill the shelves of the refurbished library which will include more seating and outdoor reading areas.
Cala said it was part of its commitment to support the Shipston community where it is currently building houses.
The school has raised funds for the project through a number of events including the summer fete, film showings, school discos and a Christmas ‘bake off’.
Headteacher Christian Hilton said: “All the staff and pupils would like to say thank you to Cala Homes for their generous donation.
“Updating our library is a wonderful way for our pupils to enjoy some quiet time and get lost in a book. The children will benefit massively from the new books that we have been able to purchase and I can’t wait for them to be added to the shelves.”
