A BUS driver charged with dangerous driving following the death of a lorry driver has been sent for trial.
It follows a crash between a bus and lorry on the Warwick Road, near to the Fisherman car park, leading into Stratford, at 1.45pm on Wednesday January 17 this year.
Bus driver Martin Clarke, aged 47, of Eckington Close, Redditch, appeared at Warwickshire magistrates this week, and was bailed to appear at Warwick Crown Court on August 24.
Lorry driver James Foster, who was in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following the crash Mr Clarke was trapped for about 45 minutes before being freed by firefighters. He was treated by medics for a leg injury before being taken to hospital in Coventry.
