Business owners reminded last chance for support under coronavirus schemes

Stratford Editorial 9th Aug, 2020   0

BUSINESS owners are being reminded it is the last chance to get support under coronavirus schemes.

Stratford District Council has so far paid out more than £33million to some 3,000 businesses, but this help will soon stop.

While the Discretionary Grants fund has already closed, the Small Business Grants Fund and the Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Grants Fund will remain open until Friday August 28.

Council people spokeswoman Coun Jo Barker said: “These grants have helped to ensure the survival of our local shops, cafes, hotels, B&Bs, restaurants and many other businesses that are vital to our local economy.

“The vast majority of eligible businesses have now claimed but if yours hasn’t, please claim as soon as possible before the schemes close.”

Final grant payments will be made before September 30.
