Butterfly farm visitors set for a buzz

Stratford Editorial 20th Mar, 2022   0

STRATFORD Butterfly Farm is set to be buzzing this Easter.

The attraction is inviting visitors to discover all about bees on Tuesday April 19.

Matthew Ingram, a beekeeper from Holt Hall Apiary, will be in the Discovery Zone with his bees from his independent bee farm in Staffordshire.

During the Easter holidays, from April 9 to 24, the Butterfly Farm will also be re-launching its Meet the Mini-Beast handling sessions and will be holding beetle and snake demonstrations in the Discovery Zone.

Children and adults can hold creatures such as an African land snail, Madagascan hissing cockroach, and a variety of stick insects.

There will also be pupae displays where visitors can learn about the journey of the pupae, from the rainforest to the farm, and see how it is prepared before it is placed on rods within the ’emerging case’.

Spokeswoman Jane Kendrick said: “This Easter come and enjoy the relaxing pleasure of walking amongst some of the world’s most stunning and colourful butterflies in our tropical rainforest setting, discover all about bees and treat yourself to some of the delicious honey in our shop!”
