Candidates to stand for county council seat

THE CANDIDATES for the Warwickshire County Council Stratford North by-election have been announced.

The five nominees standing for the seat, previously held by former mayor Keith Lloyd who passed away In September, are Conservative councillor Lynda Organ, Labour candidate Joshua Payne, Green Party candidate John Riley, Independent councillor Juliet Short and Liberal Democrat candidate Dominic Skinner.

As well as serving as one of Stratford’s three county councillors, the Coun Lloyd also represented Welcombe Ward. on Stratford Town Council.

Standing for that seat are Stratford First Jonathan Field, Conservative candidate Gavin Griffiths, Labour candidate Aaron Marshall, and Liberal Democrat candidate Kevin Taylor.

Residents will go to the polls on November 29 to cast their votes.
