Charity helping people with addiction seeks volunteers

Stratford Editorial 31st May, 2017   0

A CHARITY helping people with drug and alcohol addiction is on the lookout for new volunteers in its 50th year.

Coventry and Warwickshire Community Recovery Partnership – which is run by charity Addaction – is one of the leading substance misuse treatment providers in the country.

And on Friday June 9 at 12pm an event will take place at Stratford Healthcare on Arden Street where people can discover more about volunteering with the charity.

Spokeswoman Steph Jones said: “It is an opportunity for anyone thinking about becoming a volunteer for Addaction to meet staff, clients and current volunteers to get first hand insight if you are interested in supporting our recovery work.

“The first workers for Addaction were volunteers and they remain integral to provision of services to individuals, families and communities affected by drug and alcohol misuse.”
