Choir to hold celebratory service with a difference

Stratford Editorial 7th Jan, 2019   0

A CHURCH service with a difference is being held to celebrate a choir’s 45th anniversary.

The Alcester Male Voice Choir is holding a service of thanksgiving featuring hymns and performances at St Nicholas Church in the town.

The free service is on Sunday January 20 at 3pm and will showcase some of the choir’s best work.

Founder Judith Land said: “The choir has appeared at some of the most prestigious venues in the country as well as maintaining a regular programme of local concerts helping raising funds for a variety of charities.

“I felt that after 45 years it was time to share both the choir’s success and appreciation through a special church service with our supporters and the local community. We are a choir family and we work hard together and will continue to do so in the future.

“We see this service as a way of bringing everyone together to celebrate another milestone. All are welcome and we look forward to seeing a packed church to help us mark a very special occasion.”
