A COACH firm is doing its bit to support Stratford District Council’s recent climate emergency declaration.
Johnsons Coach & Bus Travel has committed to helping reduce pollution including turning engines off when loading and unloading.
Liberal Democrat councillor David Curtis said: “I’m delighted Johnsons Coaches will will instruct drivers to turn their engines off when loading and unloading, making Stratford-upon-Avon a safer, greener and healthier town.”
Commercial director John Johnson said the firm was pleased to play its part.
He added: “Our success comes from a desire to make progress, a forward-thinking attitude and an interest in innovation and we recognise the necessity for us to adapt and do all we can to mitigate the effects of climate change.”
