Community invited to comment on draft 'neighbourhood plan'

RESIDENTS in Brailes and Winderton are invited to comment on the draft proposal for the Neighbourhood Plan in the areas.

Brailes Parish Council has prepared the ‘Brailes and Winderton Neighbourhood Development Plan 2011-2031’ with the help of the community.

The plan sets out a vision for the future of the area and planning policies which will be used to determine planning applications locally.

The consultation period will be for eight weeks taking into account the Christmas holiday period.

Neighbourhood plans are a key component of the government’s Localism Act, which aims to devolve greater powers to councils and communities.

A copy of the plan can be viewed on the Stratford District Council website at or paper copies can be viewed at the council’s offices at Elizabeth House and also at Shipston and Stratford libraries.
