Cyclist killed in crash with car near Napton

A CYCLIST was killed after a crash involving a car near in Napton.

It happened on Holt Lane, close to Headlands Farm, shortly before 10.45am on Sunday (January 3).

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “When crews arrived on scene they discovered a cyclist lying in the road following a collision with a car.

“Unfortunately it quickly became apparent due to the serious injuries suffered in the incident nothing could be done to save the woman and she was confirmed dead at the scene.




“The driver of the car – a woman believed to be in her 60s – was treated for the effects of shock and discharged on scene while a second cyclist, also a woman, did not require medical attention.”

The victim has not yet been named.
