CYCLISTS took over Stratford to Pedal for Parkinson’s.
Some 220 cyclists chose to pedal 19, 39 or 57-miles starting from Stratford Racecourse to raise money for charity Parkinson’s UK.
Now in it’s sixth year, the charity ride welcomed more cyclists of all abilities than ever before.
Stratfordian Anna Jones and her friend Sally Evans took on the 57-mile route and have raised £1,600 for the charity.
Anna said: “My Auntie Peggy, who lives with Parkinson’s and is the reason why I chose this event, was sadly taken into hospital the day before the cycle following a nasty fall so I was pedaling hard for her.
“Sally and I were overwhelmed by the amount of support on the day and very proud to hear we had raised such a high amount for Parkinson’s UK.”
