A TOPPING out ceremony marked the completion of Housing 21’s latest Extra Care scheme in Bishopton.
Lavender Meadows is the developer’s first Extra Care scheme in Stratford district. The development – which offers 75 two bedroom apartments for people over 55 – is designed to promote independent living and includes an on-site care team to deliver planned care packages if needed.
The scheme has been developed in partnership with Warwickshire County Council and Vistry Partnerships.
Head of development Deborah Hope said: “We are delighted to reach this important milestone in the development of Lavender Meadows, our Extra Care scheme in Bishopton.
“Given the backdrop of Covid-19, it has been amazing to watch the team pull together to make sure this much needed housing is delivered. Now, more than ever, it is hugely important that older people in our communities can access high quality housing that is not only appropriately tailored to their individual needs but is done in such a way that it offers protection and care without them having to be isolated from a community, during these difficult and ever changing times.”
