Dog-lovers asked to lend a paw

Stratford Editorial 16th May, 2017   0

DOG lovers are asked to lend a paw at a rehoming fun day and help raise pounds for hounds.

Dogs Trust Evesham are holding their annual Summer Fun Day at Stratford Racecourse on Sunday June 25 between 11am and 4pm.

The event is a day for two and four-legged friends alike, with activities including a fun dog show, tombola, raffle, games and dog displays.

And to ensure the day runs smoothly, the centre is looking for volunteers to help with stalls, activities and refreshments.

Staff are also hoping to receive plenty of donated prizes for the raffle and tombola.

Dogs Trust spokeswoman Shauna Stedman said: “Volunteers are vital to Dogs Trust, particularly at our fun days which raise much needed funds to help us care for the homeless hounds at our rehoming centre.

“We are looking for friendly, helpful and hard-working people who love dogs and want to contribute to a rewarding day.

“We are also hoping to receive some great donations for our grand raffle which is a real highlight of the day.”
