Dominic Skinner and Gavin Griffiths win Stratford by-elections

DOMINIC Skinner won the Stratford North Division by-election for Warwickshire County Council.

The Liberal Democrat prospective parliamentary candidate for Stratford polled 877 votes to take the seat which became vacant following sudden death of long time councillor and former Stratford mayor Keith Lloyd.

Conservative candidate Lynda Organ was second with 602 votes, followed by Juliet Short (Stratford First) with 345, Joshua Payne (Labour) 180, and John Riley (Green) 144.

Turnout was just under 28 per cent.




Mr Lloyd’s Stratford Town Council seat was won by Conservative candidate Gavin Griffiths (Conservative) with 355 votes.

Kevin Taylor (Liberal Democrat) polled 279 votes, Jonathan Field (Stratford First) 199, and Aaron Marshall (Labour) 69.


Turnout was just over 36 per cent.
