Drama group Second Thoughts to hold auditions for autumn production

STRATFORD drama group Second Thoughts are holding auditions for their next production in the autumn.

Into the Silence, a historical drama written by member Noel Dollimore, tells the story of Sophia Duleep Singh, a princess turned suffragette, who eventually replaced founder Emmeline Pankhurst as president following her death.

The production will use slides and film footage to help set the scenes in both India and England where Sophia was born.

Both new and existing members are welcome to audition for the production in which most actors will take multiple roles.

The company are seeking local actors of South Asian heritage in particular.

Auditions will take place at St Peters Mission, Manor Road, Stratford at 7.30 p.m. on Tuesday (April 18), April 24 and May 15.

The production runs November 1 to 4.
