AN ECO-friendly entry scooped top prize at the Henley Christmas Tree festival.
Nearly 30 groups, individuals and businesses took part in the competition to decorate a tree.
And the Henley Memorial Trust won first place with their tree which was themed around recycling – all decorated with recycled plastic.
The junior award went to Henley Primary School which submitted two entries – one made up of sprout baubles and another covered in ‘doves of peace’ with each dove etched with the name of a local soldier who was killed in the First World War.
The festival has now ended.
