THE PRIME Minister has taken on board the environmental concerns of youngsters in Barford.
Pupils at Barford St Peter’s Primary School wrote to Theresa May highlighting their concerns about the effects of ocean pollution on marine wildlife. They even offered some possible solutions.
They received a reply from the PM’s correspondence officer who thanked them, acknowledged their views, and noted how well they had expressed them.
They were also told their letters had been passed to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural affairs which would also be replying to them.
And closer to home, the school has launched its own ‘Eco Council’ focused on recycling and reducing waste in the village. The council started with a litter pick at St George’s playing fields.
