Employees give time to spruce up community centre

Stratford Editorial 10th Aug, 2019   0

A COMMUNITY centre in Southam has been given a much-needed facelift thanks to volunteers.

Volunteers from Orbit housing joined forces with Bell Decorating Group, which donated materials, to spruce up the Graham Adams Community Centre.

As part of Orbit’s employee volunteering scheme, volunteers donated their time to paint the main hall, watched over by experts from Bell Decorating Group who ensured the work was up to scratch.

Managed by the Southam Church and Community Project Ltd, the Graham Adams Centre hosts local events and community groups including Rainbows, Brownies, an over 60s lunch club and mother and baby yoga classes.

Community centre manager Elaine Lambe said: “We’re very thankful to everyone who gave their time, skills and resources to improve the centre and give it a new lease of life.”
