A FORTNIGHT of fairtrade will promote ethical shopping in Stratford.
The Big Brew event in St James’ Church in Snitterfield will kick off Fairtrade Fortnight, organised by Fairtrade Stratford, tomorrow(Saturday), from 10am to 3.30pm.
Visitors can enjoy coffee and cake and browse fairtrade products from handicrafts to jewellery.
The event also marks the 40th anniversary of fairtrade supplier Traidcraft, and cash raised from the event will be donated to its charity.
And on Saturday March 9 Stratford Methodist Church will host a brunch from 10am to 12pm, including activities for children.
Spokesman Roger Matthews said there were plenty of opportunities to buy Fairtrade in Stratford during the fortnight including in some of the town’s supermarkets.
