THE GROSVENOR Hotel has returned to Stratford.
The new owners of the Warwick Road hotel decided to change back to its original name following a name change in 2019 to The Villare Hotel, a change made by a the previous owner who only had the hotel for a few years.
Brightstar Hospitality bought the hotel – a feature of Stratford life for more than 40 years – for an undisclosed sum.
Brightstar Hospitality chairman Clive Nicholls, who also lives in Stratford, fondly remembers when the hotel was at its height.
He said: “We have had this hotel in our sights for a considerable time and are looking forward to welcoming guests from all over the world to showcase the best of
hospitality in Stratford-upon-Avon.”
The 76-bedroom property takes Brightstar Hospitality’s portfolio to 13 hotels.
CEO of Brightstar Hospitality, Nikhil Gupta added: “We are absolutely delighted to be welcoming this hotel into our collection. Its location in such a popular part of the UK makes it perfect for all travellers.’’
Stratford mayor Kevin Taylor attended the recent re-naming celebrations and offically cut the ribbon to mark the hotel’s new era.
