SHAKESPEARE’S imagination will be brought to life by visitors to Shakespeare’s Schoolroom and Guildhall on Friday August 4.
Children and parents are invited to take part in a free art workshop to create a giant jolly jester inspired by some of the bard’s most comic characters.
Artists Ali Allen and Ros Ingram from Stratford-based Escape Arts will be on hand to help out with the sculpture, which will be made from recycled material.
Children can also make their own mini-jesters to take home with them.
Sarah Jervis Hill, from Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall, said: “Children can work with the artists, but ultimately it is down to them as to what our jolly jester will look like, and indeed how jolly he is!”
The workshop will run as a drop in session from 10am to 4.30pm. Admission to the workshop is free.
