TRENDY folk packed Alcester Town Hall for a charity fashion show.

The annual event saw women strut their stuff in aid of Air Ambulance Alcester branch, Alcester Dementia Respite and Stratford Hospital’s £1million appeal.

The evening, which attracted ladies from across Alcester and its surrounding communities, was compered by Stratford District Council chairman Mike Gittus and helped to raise £1,200 for the thee causes.

Event organiser Mary Nash said: “It was a wonderful occasion and I am sure everyone enjoyed themselves.

“This has become a very well attended event and I was very keen to support my brother Mike’s charities this year as he has compered for me since I started the event.”

Coun Gittus added: “The generosity of the residents never ceases to amaze me but the £1,200 total really was a magnificent achievement.”
