A YOUNG cyclist from Wellesbourne has taken on an epic ride for charity.
Kieran Speechly, who is a member of Stratford Cycling Club, completed the 874 mile journey from John O’Groats to Land’s End with his dad Andrew to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society and Parkinsons UK.
The father and son have raised over £1,000 and finished their length of Britain ride in 16 days.
Kieran, who is 13-years-old, said: “It was more challenging than I thought it would be, and it might be a few days before I get back on my bike!
“However, seeing the whole of the country in one journey was fantastic, and to raise so much money for charity was a real incentive to get to the end.”
