FIREFIGHTERS spent three and a half hours tackling a blaze at a barn in Stratford.

Crews from Alcester and Stratford were called to Banbury Road around 11am on Monday (April 4) following reports of a fire involving a barn containing fertiliser and straw.

The fertiliser was not affected by the blaze and no-one was believed to be injured.

Firefighters from Henley also attended a blaze in Tanworth on the same day.

Crews were called to Rushbrook Lane shortly before 9.30am where they used a hose to put out a farm buggy which was on fire.
