Fly-tip causes dangerous risk to drivers in Stratford

FLY-TIPPERS dumped fencing and garden waste in the middle of a high-speed country road.

Stratford District Council (SDC) is appealing for information after the fly-tip was discovered in Wimpstone Lane where the speed limit is 60mph.

The council tweeted: ‘Inconsiderate people have been fly-tipping again this time in Wimpstone. As you can see from the image the fly-tip is in the road and could be very dangerous to motorists.”

Fly-tipping is illegal when dumped on a site or in areas which do not have a licence to accept waste.

And last year SDC spent over £21,000 after dealing with more than 360 incidents.

Anyone with information should call the council on 01789 260 616.
