THE FOUNDER of a top dating app is looking for love elsewhere – on a reality dating show.
Former Stratford School pupil Jack Knowles founded dating app Temptr, which has been launched in 60 countries and is doing so well it is set to make the 28-year-old a billionaire.
The app came to fruition after Jack studied business at Stratford College before launching a number of dating websites. With 30 per cent of people meeting online or through an app he decided to create Temptr.
Although Jack’s app has stiff competition from market leaders such as Bumble, Tinder, Badoo and Her, Temptr is the leading UK founded dating app.
Jack said what set Temptr apart from the rest is the fact matches can also exchange pictures with one another and even ‘check-in’ wherever they are in the world – anywhere from nightclubs to gymnasiums.
Despite being the brains behind the app, Jack is currently appearing on show Game of Attraction, which airs on channel Made, in a bid to find love.
The show is set in a Birmingham club and sees 20 contestants ‘couple up’ in an attempt to reach the final and be crowned the winner and scoop a five star holiday to Portugal.
Jack is currently working on a new app to help those suffering from mental health problems and says if he wins the show he will be offering someone even more of a helping hand.
He told the Observer: “Pretty much all of us will suffer at some point, that’s why I’m launching this app to help people speak out and not be afraid.
“The show is great and a must watch, it’s the first of it’s kind from Birmingham.
“The final is live and if I win I will give the holiday to someone with a mental health problem.”
The show airs every Tuesday evening at 7pm and Saturday 8pm on channel Made.
